DAVID B. KERRANE received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from University of California, San Diego. He received his Juris Doctor from University of San Diego, School of Law. Mr. Kerrane was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1998.
Mr. Kerrane started his career at a well-known insurance company as an Auto Collision Claims Adjuster. He handled heavy caseloads in auto collision and homeowner’s liability claims. He then transferred into civil litigation and workers’ compensation defense following his graduation from law school in 1998. He has extensive experience defending against industrial injury claims, as well as discrimination and serious and willful petitions. His civil litigation experience includes contract disputes, employment and wage and hour law, premises liability, and probate/elder abuse cases. Mr. Kerrane has successfully obtained defense verdicts and favorable judgments both at trial and binding arbitration. He continues to work in the workers’ compensation arena representing both large and small employers and their carriers. He has appeared before all Southern California Workers’ Compensation Appeals Boards, as well as several Northern California Boards.
Mr. Kerrane is an experienced public speaker having presented workers’ compensation seminars to many of our firm’s clients. Most recently, in 2014, Mr. Kerrane successfully passed the State Bar of California legal specialization exam in workers’ compensation.
With over 15 years of experience in workers’ compensation and civil litigation, Mr. Kerrane is an asset to both his clients and to the law offices of Samuelsen, Gonzalez, Valenzuela and Brown where he joined our Newport Beach office in 2011.
