RICHARD F. FLOOD received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Louisiana State University and his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis School of Law.
While obtaining his law degree, Mr. Flood worked as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Jeremy Fogel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in San Jose, CA. He also served as a Judicial Extern at the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administration Law Judges to the Honorable Richard Clark in San Francisco, CA, where de drafted Decisions and Orders in Longshore cases. Mr. Flood’s externship experience led him to master legal writing and develop trial advocacy skills.
After being admitted to the Bar, Mr. Flood began practicing law at a busy nationwide law firm in Chicago, IL. He specialized in Longshore and Defense Base Act cases, and worked in all phases of litigation. Specifically, Mr. Flood has significant motion, trial, and appellate experience and the skills to draft successful pleadings, motions, and post-trial and appellate briefs.
Mr. Flood is a published author and is licensed to practice law in California and Illinois. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for N.D. Ill., C.D. Ill., S.D. Ill., and S.D. Tex.
