EDUCATION

TIFFANY BOYLAND completed her undergraduate education at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and was a recipient of the Henry Reichhold Scholarship. Ms. Boyland continued her education at the University of Missouri receiving her Juris Doctor from the Columbia School of Law. While in law school, she was recognized as a Dean’s List scholar for her academic achievement. In addition to excelling academically, Ms. Boyland participated in the legal externship program at the Missouri Department of Revenue, exposing her to areas such as Legal Research and Writing and Corporate and Individual Bankruptcy. She is a member of the California State Bar as well as the Missouri State Bar.

BACKGROUND

Ms. Boyland’s professional experience in Workers’ Compensation began in 2005 and has focused exclusively on the representation of employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators at Workers’ Compensation Appeals Boards across the state. As an attorney, she prides herself on her ability to close files in expedited manner while focusing on client cost savings. In 2009, she became a Certified Specialist in the area of Worker’s Compensation Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Prior to joining Samuelsen, Gonzalez, Valenzuela and Brown, Ms. Boyland served as the Managing Attorney for a large firm in the Northern California area for over five years. In addition to her practice, Ms. Boyland has taught numerous IEA courses, presented for organizations such as the AWCP and VICA and conducted seminars on a variety of workers’ compensation subjects, demonstrating her strong public speaking abilities and her wealth of industry knowledge.

Ms. Boyland currently serves as the President of the Sacramento County Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section and served for several years on the board of the Valley Industrial Claims Association and People Reaching Out. More recently, Ms. Boyland was appointed to the California State Bar’s Workers’ Compensation Section Executive Committee.
