Chris Lear received his Juris Doctor degree from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California in 1994 and is licensed to practice in The State of California. Chris is a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation and has practiced exclusively in workers’ compensation law for 20 years. Chris is also admitted before the United States District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts in California. Chris is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association.
Chris was born in Southern California and has also lived in Utah, Washington State, Missouri, Alabama and Texas, along with a year “living” in Fallujah and Ramadi, Iraq during his Army deployment in 2006-2007 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Chris has since retired from the Army after a 29 year career during which he achieved the rank of Sergeant Major. He deployed during his career with the Army to Iraq, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Qatar and the Philippines. As a Workers’ Compensation attorney Chris has aggressively handled all aspects in the defense of claims, including 132a, S&W, safety officer and firefighter cases, Education Code cases, uninsured employers, death claims, asbestos and catastrophic injury claims. Chris understands his client’s demand to be tenacious and aggressive in litigating claims and to move as many files possible to closure quickly while also working with his client to prepare the case for trial. He uses every legal tactic and technique possible to force his opponent to an early strategic resolution of the claim whenever possible. When not at work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and children traveling, hiking and hitting the gym.
